Show Notes:
Our interview with writer and comic creator Duane Murray! Duane’s comic miniseries, Who Are The Power Pals?, has recently been released in trade paperback. He talks about the comic and more! Duane Murray is a writer, actor, and producer who currently lives in Hamilton (Toronto’s Brooklyn!) with his wife, daughter, and cat. He has script-consulted and coached actors on several projects for studios and streamers, including Warner Bros., Dreamworks, HBO, and Netflix. He’s produced several award-winning films, including his latest feature, Red Rover, which he both co-wrote and produced. As an actor, he has appeared in several film, TV, and stage productions, including the Academy Award-winning Best Picture Spotlight. He’s also the voice of a well-known Canadian bank mascot-penguin. No, seriously. Better Place is his first graphic novel, and the trade paperback for his first comic miniseries, Who Are The Power Pals, is available now wherever comics are sold.
Our review of Predator: Badlands starring Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, Elle Fanning and Stefan Grube. Predator: Badlands is set in the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator (Schuster-Koloamatangi), outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.
We also play Andrew’s interview with director Michael Dowse and actor Kate del Castillo! Their new film, Trap House, hits theatres on Friday, November 14th. They talk with Andrew about the film and more! In El Paso, Texas, an undercover DEA agent and his partner embark on a game of cat and mouse with an audacious group of thieves: their own rebellious teenagers. The teens begin to rob from a dangerous cartel, using their parents’ tactics and top-secret intel.
