Gemini Gets CFTC Approval, Launches Regulated Prediction Markets
Update: 2025-12-11
Description
Gemini Space Station, Inc., through its subsidiary Gemini Titan, LLC, has secured a major approval from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, allowing it to operate as a Designated Contract Market. This enables Gemini Titan to offer regulated prediction markets to U.S. customers, marking a significant step in the companys financial sector expansion. The approval follows a five-year licensing process, with CEO Tyler Winklevoss expressing gratitude to former President Trump and Acting CFTC Chair Caroline Pham. Gemini Titan will now offer event contracts tied to future outcomes, joining a select group of CFTC-regulated venues and introducing a new competitor in the growing market. The company also plans to expand its offerings to include crypto futures, options, and perpetual contracts.
