Description

Cahokia Mounds near Collinsville, Illinois is the site of what researchers believe was the most sophisticated prehistoric native civilization north of Mexico.  The ancient settlement has been extensively studied.  But geospatial researchers are counting on new technology to help us learn even more about some hard to access areas of the site.

Casey Shanks, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Craig Ackermann, NGA and Justin Vilbig, Saint Louis University-Taylor Geospatial Institute all join Megan Lynch in studio to talk about their work.
