Jim, a "cradle"  Episcopalian, was born in Wilmington, NC and received degrees from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington and Virginia Theological Seminary.  For the past 18 years he has served as rector of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in North Charleston, South Carolina.
