When God created mothers, He knew the critical role they would play in the development and success of their children. Number five of the Ten Commandments, the first one that deals with human relationships says, “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.” Exodus 20:12 . Mother’s Day is a great time to honor and thank moms. And it can also be a tough holiday for those that didn’t have a great mother experience or their mother is no longer around. This message focuses on why God created mothers, how we can honor mothers and some needs mothers can fill for kids.
