My relationship sessions/counseling usually rock their world. They are used to normal therapy where they talk about how this person did this and they did that and they expect me to come up with solutions to deal with the upsets that get created. I do and I tell them that my real focus is to provide a solution to heal/integrate the original pain that was brought into the relationship in the first place. I can go in very quickly and directly to the source of the issue. Because, our arguments are rarely about what is happening now. Most people don't realize that their relationship/life doesn't have to be managed, dealt with or coped with...IF they are open to healing. Those are the people I tend to work with.
