Gold futures prices are plummeting, with all contract months in the red. The January contract closed at $4,322.50, down $47.60 from the previous day. The February contract, the most actively traded, opened at $4,353 and reached a high of $4,384.90 before closing at $4,359.50, down $26.80. March, April, and June contracts also posted losses. Volumes are increasing but still below Tuesdays total. Open interest rose by 2,734 contracts.
