Gospel of Matthew - Matthew 16:27-17:8 - Jesus and the Disciples Heard God the Father Commend Jesus As His Beloved Son and They Beheld Jesus Only - Prog 65
Description
Our study of Matthew's account of our Lord's transfiguration in glory is the focus of this study. This most likely occurred on Mount Hermon a few miles from Caesarea Philippi.
Peter thought it was good to be here. Dr. Mitchell gives us Peter's response to what he was seeing and hearing and asks, "How did Peter know these men were Moses and Elijah?
As a cloud comes over the disciples, a voice speaks out of the cloud from heaven to Jesus saying "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased".
Then, God the Father, speaking to the disciples says, "You Listen to Him."
Jesus is who God wants us to listen to.
Do you do this? Do I do this?
Is your Bible open as we read His Word?
As you listen, He will speak to you.
Here is Dr. Mitchell on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast, Matthew 17:1-8.
