Gospel of Matthew - Matthew 19:10-20 - Jesus Identifies the Rich Young Rulers' Blind Spot - Prog 71
Description
In Matthew 19, we begin this lesson with verse 13.
Two topics are dealt with in this study.
The first Jesus' continuing concern for children. He prayed from them.
The second topic is Jesus' conversation with a man wanting to know what good deed he could do to enter into eternal life.
This section reveals the thinking of those who suppose they can please God and find His favor by doing good.
The N.T. Scripture tells us that it is by grace we are saved through faith. It is not of works lest anyone should boast. Salvation is from the Lord Jesus Christ alone. The one who places faith in the crucified and risen Christ will be saved and have eternal life.
Dr. Mitchell tells us that life cannot be inherited.
Life only comes through relationship.
