After the Senate once again rejected a House proposal passed by the Republican majority to temporarily fund the government, the U.S. government has partially shut down.  John Stolnis has details from

Government Shutdown Underway

Two bills to fund the government through November both failed in the Senate Tuesday evening, and shortly after those votes, White House Budget Director Russell Vought directed federal agencies to begin
implementing their shutdown plans.
