Today, I welcome Miss Petite Oregon 2020/2022, Kira Rose Johnson on the pod! She is an outstanding titleholder and business owner with a great heart. Kira reached out to me because she wanted to discuss the topic of The Opioid Crisis that is growing in Oregon and Washington amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. Kira shares how her activism grew from losing her brother to an overdose when she was 16 years old and then joining a pageant. I share personal details about my own connection to the Opioid Crisis and how it has changed my perspective on people who are addicted to drugs.
