Grow Regionally Adapted Seeds w/ Dr. Matthew Kost, The Buffalo Seed Company
Description
Grow your best garden with seeds adapted to your climate, your soil and your culture. Dr. Matthew Kost talks about the benefits of growing regionally adapted seeds; why these seeds are so important, how to develop adapted seeds, creating and maintaining landraces, where to purchase quality seeds and so much more!
Dr. Kost, and his wife Nancy, launched the Buffalo Seed Company in October 2018. Matthew is originally from Kansas City and has returned after obtaining a Bachelor in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Kansas, and a Ph.D. in Evolutionary Agroecology from The Ohio State University. Matthew has also worked in conserving amaranth and quinoa landrace diversity in Peru and arid adapted crops in the Greater Southwest.
