We have a new episode series called Growing Up In Medicine. In this series we will feature the untold and often twisted stories behind the CVs. Unlike a boilerplate career advice talk, we will examine in some depth and in the context of a broader narrative the hidden human factors behind working in medicine and show that a smooth career path is rather rare. We will discuss failures, mistakes, discrimination, impostor syndrome and more.

Our first episode features @TheRealDoctorT, a nephrologist in San Antonio, Texas, who's incredible Twitter stories about medicine have resonated with thousands online. His tweets are known for eloquently expressing the nuanced experience of medical students, residents, and staff around the world and across the ages. Dr T. shared with us the behind the scenes of his career, the detours, the doubts, and the amazing mentors and patients he met along the way.
