Hamas, Red Cross continue search for captives’ bodies amid ongoing Israeli shelling in Gaza
Update: 2025-11-04
Description
Hamas and the Red Cross are continuing their joint search for bodies of deceased captives in Gaza. The operation has been going on for three days. The remains of eight people are believed to lie under the rubble of destroyed buildings. But Hamas says the scale of destruction from Israel's two-year-long war is making recovery efforts difficult. The Israeli military is still targeting Palestinians in Gaza, despite the ceasefire. At least one person has been killed after an Israeli quadcopter opened fire in Gaza City's Tuffah neighbourhood. Earlier attacks were reported in Khan Younis in the south and Bureij camp in central Gaza. Al Jazeera’s Tareq Abu Azzoum has more from Gaza City, Palestine.
