All of us have experienced trauma in some form. Studies in neuroscience have shown that consistent rhythm and repetition can help to heal trauma within the human brain. Families and friends may attempt to help those with trauma by stating the importance of "pulling up your bootstraps", but this sentiment can actually be detrimental.
