Remarkable Legacy with
Dene grew up in Pontiac, Michigan with her mother and younger brother.
At a very young age Dene became a storyteller as a way to escape her reality. This enabled her to go any place she wanted .
Dene writes from real life experiences - because her own life is so colorful she was inspired her to write a series of short stories which she is developing into a 15-volume collection. Each story entertains, teaches and provides hope and understanding on array of topics including, abandonment, addiction and self-worth. Her interest in the arts was peaked when she began writing/producing/directing independent plays in Detroit.
Dene is also a published author. As a school writing assignment, she was to write a short story about a time in her life when she went against the majority and followed her own mind. The assignment was then to be submitted to a list of magazines that her professor had chosen. Her story “The Beer” was picked and published in the New Moon (v135) Down in the dirt, March/April 2016 issue.
Dene credits her faith in God for her deliverance, healing, growth and change.
