“We chose these four topics to highlight some of the ongoing and emerging population health challenges faced by the region in recent years,” said Dr. Marie Ng, lead author and Affiliate Associate Professor at IHME and Associate Professor at National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. She discussed this four-paper series that studied the burden of mental disorders, cardiovascular diseases, smoking, and injuries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region.
