Next month Helen Simoneau Danse will present a new work inspired in part by Helen’s French Canadian background. Nathalie Joachim is a composer, whose pieces often draw upon among other things her instrumental background as flutist with the multiple Grammy Award-winning ensemble Eighth Blackbird, as well as her Haitian American heritage. The two have paired up for the premiere of Land Bridge

You can attend a free movement class led by Helen Simoneau and her dancers from 2:00-3:30 pm on Saturday, February 27th. And at 3:30 pm there will be an open rehearsal of Helen’s new choreography. Both events are free and open to the public in Scales Fine Arts Center on the WFU campus. Land Bridge will premiere on Thursday night, March 3rd at 7:30 pm in Hanesbrands Theatre in Winston-Salem. Performances continue on the 3rd and 4th.
