• Polish government leaders extend their sympathy to Ukraine following the Kyiv helicopter crash which claimed the life of the country’s Interior minister and at least 16 others
• Prime Minister Morawiecki lobbies Germany to back the transfer of tanks to Ukraine
• the Sejm passes a judicial reform bill designed to secure the release of EU economic recovery funding despite the opposition of part of the ruling bloc, and
• Iga Świątek and Hubert Hurkacz both advance to the third round of the Australian Open tennis championship.
