Heroes/Heels in the FGC with Ryan “Filipino Champ” Ramirez
Update: 2018-05-21
Description
A Street Fighter and Marvel champion, Filipino Champ is a top finisher in fighting games since he debuted with a second place finish in his first Major. We talk about his switch from a heel (villain) to a hero in the eyes of the community and why the FGC is more prone to boisterous personalities and trash talk when compared with the rest of esports.
In addition we talk about his top-five celebrity encounters including being called “real” by two-sport-athlete Deion “Primetime” Sanders. He recently moved on in a mutual agreement with Splyce and is enjoying free agency. Right now, he has his eyes on his “Ninja moment” (they were Budlight All-stars the same year) and believes it will come with the rumored development of fighting games by both Riot and Blizzard.
