High school basketball teams in the Greater Spokane League kicked off the season with thrilling non-league games. On the girls side, Meads Addison Wells-Morrison scored twenty-eight points, leading the Panthers to a victory. University also won, with Lily Anderberg scoring thirteen points. Ridgelines Madilyn Crowley and Grace Sheridan secured a win, while Clarkstons Preslee Dempsey led the Bantams to victory. Gonzaga Prep maintained their undefeated streak. On the boys side, Central Valleys Orland Axton and Cameron Wells secured a win, and Lewis and Clarks Angus Gehn led the Tigers to victory. Despite the loss, Ridgelines Caden Andreas had an impressive night, scoring thirty points. These games mark an exciting start to the season.
