The final set, number two hundred thirty-two, sold for an incredible eight hundred thousand dollars, holding the very last circulating pennies from both Philadelphia and Denver, along with the ultimate gold Omega penny. The decision to halt penny production was made by President Donald Trump due to the coins production cost exceeding its face value.
