If you are feeling depressed this holiday season, you are not alone. Our natural rhythms want us to hibernate but we force ourselves to be awake, go to work, go to school, and just keep going.  In the Northern Hemisphere, it's difficult with days with short sun light and the limited natural exposure, our mood turns sad in this darkness.  

There are ways to find light, go to well lit stores, turn more lights on in your dwelling, and spend more time with others.  Yes, there are others that need you more now in this dark period than you think.

Make plans, not necessarily for the holidays but to hang out with your friends.  Plan a trip somewhere warm for the weekend and get your proper dose on sunlight a vitamin D AND when you need sleep, get your sleep.  We are going to make it through this cold and dark time, together.
