Through the lens of Daniel we see the way the world is calling to us in an attempt to change us. As Christians we are called to be set apart from the world in order to be given to it for redeeming purposes. There is a dynamic tension between being set apart and being passionately engaged in serving the needs in the world. We are needed to stand up and stand out in the world, but we have to be set apart from the world.
