My sisters and brothers, Happy Pentecost Sunday! Today’s podcast song is, ‘Holy Spirit Pentecost’, and our podcast is about how our Easter Season is complete, from the Resurrection of Jesus on Easter, to Pentecost Sunday after the Ascension of Jesus, and all that took place within these seven weeks.
One of my memories from the early 80s’ that I hold close to my heart, is about how Pentecost came alive in me and how my song, Holy Spirit Pentecost, came to be. I was going to the teachings on the Holy Spirit and on Pentecost, given by Father Bill McCarthy and Sister Bernadette Sheldon. These teachings were so powerful, they opened my mind like I never felt before and never dreamed possible. I kept wanting more. I deeply wanted the Holy Spirit to use me, to teach me everything, to fill me with Wisdom, to control me completely. The Holy Spirit truly became my Most Treasured Friend. It was at that time that my Holy Spirit Pentecost song, was created. It was at that time the Holy Spirit made his presence know to me with understanding, and inspired this song in me, and yes, this song does belong to the Holy Spirit, for after all, the Holy Spirit is the true writer in me, I am only the instrument.
