On April 12, 2025, Abbot Jeremy Driscoll, OSB, preached this homily on the occasion of the funeral Mass of Abbot Nathan Zodrow, OSB, the tenth abbot of Mount Angel. Abbot Nathan served as abbot from 2001 to 2009. He was first professed as a monk of Mount Angel on September 8, 1974, and was ordained to the priesthood on April 16, 1988. He died on April 8, 2025.
“Eternal rest, grant unto Abbot Nathan, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.”
