Description
House of the Dragon Afdah is said to be based on George R. R. Martin's Fire and Blood, which tells the story of the Targaryen dynasty's conquest of the Seven Kingdoms. The Targaryens originally resided in the Valyrian freehold, a vast civilization that covered a significant portion of Essos, the continent to the east of Westeros, for many centuries. Following the catastrophic events known as the Doom, which devastated Valyria, the Targaryens sought refuge on the island of Dragonstone, where Daenerys Targaryen later establishes her war council in the second-to-last season of Game of Thrones.
