How to Get Press Coverage for Your Startup? Getting your small business mentioned in the local and national press is a great way to gain exposure and potentially new business. But certainly cannot guarantee to get any new sales. From personal experience, I published an award winning book on the food of Jersey (Channel Islands) which received a double page spread in the Islands main newspaper. It did not generate any sales at all. On the other hand, I have been mentioned in articles and the phone has rung off the hook. There simply is no way of knowing but you have to create the opportunity for it to work. Here are my top tips for getting coverage.
