Book 2
Lots of suspense, intrigue, drama and plot twists, The book kept me engaged until the very end and left me eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.
Really Good!
This book is so outside my normal genres of contemporary romance or mystery, but I found myself captivated by it. This story is part of a series and a standalone listen. I hadn't listened to the first book book in the series, but was immediately pulled into this story. The narrator did a fantastic job with her emotions and the various character voices. The storyline of kidnapping really pulled me in. Futuristic stories typically haven't been my thing, but the performance of the narrator added so much and made it enjoyable. I received a review copy of this audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. The author and narrator are both very talented, and I would listen to more of their works. I loved all of the twists this book had, and hadn't figured out who the kidnapper was initially or why.
Great Sequel To The Bleak Dystopian Series
I was thoroughly engaged throughout this sequel to Why You Were Taken. JT Lawrence made me feel the paranoia and dread Kate throughout. As before Keke is my favorite character and love any time she is taking front and center, which she gets to do a lot more in this book. The book lets you get into everyones frames of mind before things get rolling, and I find JT Lawrence is always able to make me feel what the characters are.
The narration by Roshina Ratnam was again great, love all of her characters and their inflections. Looking forward to more from this series, and the author in general.
I received this audiobook for free from the author / narrator / publisher in exchange for an unbiased review.
Great 2nd book in this series!
I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Like with the first book, I really enjoyed this book. The author does a great job world building and developing the characters in the book. The narrator was VERY good. She really has an interesting accent and brought the characters to life. Definitely worth a credit.
an amazing thriller
I received this audiobook from the author for an honest review from my own free will.
I don't know how Janita does it, this books just gets you deep on the story, they begin slow to explain various situations and at the middle they just explode and the action spiral just unfurls and keep you on edge until the end.
