Apparently, it can be quite difficult. Just ask Kim Klein. Her daughter Piper was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when she was 2 years old. She has been screened yearly for Celiac Disease because of the relation between Diabetes 1 and Celiac. This year, the screening came back positive, and they got an endoscopy that came back negative.
