Description

"When ever I talk to someone new. It always dies after the introduction.
I have no idea why.
I literally feel awful because I know that I can talk to people and I have the confidence to approach people. But I never have any idea what to say." .......
I hear this from clients, all the time!
The best conversations always have both interlocutors bouncing off one another's statements. So, if you're struggling, just remember that it might not be your fault, at least not completely :). This podcast and particularly, this episode is for you if your conversations keep running dry!
Who said it was easy to keep conversations going! However, it's not all that difficult if you use the strategy I'm going to share today! In most cases, you can use what the other person says to keep the conversation going. In communication lingo, “what they give you” is called free-information. So, instead of constantly thinking up new things to talk about, you simply use what they give you. People leak free-information all the time. You just need to be more open to hearing it. When you notice something of interest in the conversation, comment on it or ask a question to open up a new path in the interaction. You’ll be amazed how liberating it is to enter a conversation knowing they will give you what you need to continue!
If you’ve never learned how to keep a conversation flowing, it most likely has hurt your social life and even your work life. We want to help you improve this part of your life. And once you know how to keep the thoughts and words flowing, you’ll be surprised at how many more doors open to friendship, activities, and joy in your life.
I shared one strategy last week. I'm going to share one right here. Another follow up strategy will finally complete the top three strategies on how to master the art of never letting your conversations run dry!
