Description

It's happened to all of us: We're in the shower, or on a walk, and boom — a big idea or a brilliant solution appears out of nowhere. These sorts of insights often seem to arise without explanation. But researchers increasingly find there is a science to cultivating creativity. This week, social psychologist Sheena Iyengar shares research and case studies of innovation, and discusses what these examples tell us about the alchemy of creative breakthroughs.

HB is usually a very thought provoking and interesting podcast, but where did you find your guest? ... these boats could go over the water and under it too... they're called submarines Ms. Iyengar. Ships never shot torpedoes at U-boats. it was the other way around. Ships dropped depth charges to destroy subs. There was no signal jamming at that stage of the war. There are so many factual mistakes in this podcast. I would suggest you take it down and not get mocked.

24:51 it is exactly how www.cfur.ca started at www.unbc.ca and I can proudly say I kept the idea going until it was real. it began in 1998 and in 2001 it was born. still going much stronger today... check it out... before you take over Canada....
