More than 85% of employees say that they would report an instance of workplace misconduct if they observed one. However, when the moment of truth arrives, only about half of the people who said they would report actually follow through with it. A big reason why is that for many employees, speaking up about misconduct carries the very real risk of being punished overtly or covertly by their peers and managers for it.
