Description
Author: Ryann Shelburne
Interviewer: Ezra Kang
The era of World War II witnessed one of the most gruesome genocides in human history, the Holocaust. Ryann Shelburne explains the motivations that provoked the Nazis to human experimentation. She divides them into two categories – the military experiments and the experiments conducted by the curiosity of the physicians. The experiments were performed without the consent of the test subjects. Following the war, the Nuremberg Trials were enacted to bring justice to those whom committed acts against humanity. This led to the creation of the Nuremberg Code, which ensured the security of all future patients.
