Hut eight, a Bitcoin mining company, has secured a $7 billion, 15-year lease agreement with Fluidstack, an infrastructure provider, for 245 megawatts of AI data center capacity at its River Bend campus in Louisiana. Google is providing a financial safety net, covering lease payments and operational costs. The project, set to be completed by Q2 2027, marks Hut eights deepening involvement in the AI sector.
