4:20 pm Many of us may have a desire to break out on our own and think we have the entrepreneurial instinct to start a successful new venture. But are we prepared for the risks and the nimbleness it takes to maneuver the pitfalls? We are fortunate today to have with us Balaji Pasumarthy, a serial entrepreneur who can share his experiences and personal insights into making the business venture successful. Based in India, he's currently visiting the US, and took the time to come to the studio to talk about leadership and other concepts that might help budding entrepreneurs.
4:50 pm We will continue to talk about entrepreneurship with another successful entrepreneur, Sunil Pangarkar who is going to be facilitating a seminar organized by The Indus Entrepreneurs – or TiE for short - on 18 October at the Junior League of Houston. The seminar will focus on Impact Investing and Sunil will be calling in to tell us exactly what that means.
5:20 pm In the past 33 years, Dr. Arun Verma has made his mark in Houston as a real estate entrepreneur after leading a very successful career in oil and gas in Canada. In the past thirteen years he has made another career for himself as the organizer of the Dussehra and Diwali celebration which has become a tradition in the greater Houston area. He calls in today to tell us about the upcoming event on October 26th and what to expect at the festival.
