Thanks for listening to the 3rd episode I appreciate you all :)
Hey guys, welcome back to the third episode by the way. I have another really good topic for you all today and I hope you like it as much as I do. I've incorporated some things into the podcast as well. I'm in a Reddit community and a Discord server so if you would like to join those, the links will be in the description of the episode and maybe just the whole podcast in general. So if you would like to share any feedback through the Discord server, the Reddit community, or through my email, you can do it through either one of those.
So now we're going to get into the episode. I know burnout is inevitable and we all experience burnout sometime in our lives, but when it strikes, it strikes hard or for a long time. I'm here to tell you how you can manage it, tell if you have burnout or cure your burnout altogether. So let's get started. To know if you have burnout, you have to know the symptoms and what could affect what, you know.
activity, anxiety, attachment, feelings of lessness, low mood, difficulty concentrating, lack of creativity, or fatigue. My sources will be in the description of the episode as well, so if you would like to check those out to find more information, you can do that as well. But for this episode, I'm just going to be listing some, I'm going to be just listing some stuff.
on the website if you want to. So some questions to ask if you don't know if you have run out or are you very critical about your work or achievements. For example, if you score really hard on a test and think you could have done better than you should have and it weighs on you. I know this can kind of be, you know, with just being a productive person or a high achiever in general if you get a high grade,
I know these feelings can weigh on you, but it's different when you have burnout. It's very different. I mean, it's like you don't try as much as you know you could, but it's like procrastination. It's like a feeling of procrastination. It's a very hard thing to explain.
That's really, it's just intense procrastination. It's prolonged procrastination. That's the best way I could explain that. But we're gonna get back to the questions to ask if you don't know, if you're burned out. So the second one is, you have trouble starting or finishing work. This is basically procrastination or just being distracted in general, but it's a symptom. It's one of the questions you can ask if you don't know you have burnout.
Number three, you lack energy to be productive. You see how I'm going, and you might see what I'm going with this, but this is just how you get on a date of fire. Number four, you become irritated a lot easier. Like let's say, for irritation, let's just say that you have this one friend, right? You were used to them doing whatever antics they were doing before,
everything changed. You become a lot more irritated about some of the things they say, the jokes they make. That's just an example. Number five is, do you lack motivation or purpose on why you're doing what you're doing? This is just, you know, not finding a purpose in what you're doing or thinking that the reason why you're doing something
Like, I know when I experienced burnout, it was, I had the vision of graduating, but graduating seemed so far to me that it didn't seem like a goal. You know, it didn't seem like a goal I could reach in that moment. It didn't see something that I had self-gratification for now.
That's my experience, but I know it can probably be different for some people, but that was just a little example of, you know, my experience. So we're going to get into the different causes. One of the causes could be a work or life imbalance. When you focus all of your time into your work at home, your school, I
