The film balances dark humor with tension, using its contained setting to amplify character and mood rather than spectacle. The cast is led by Odessa A’zion (Marty Supreme) in a striking supporting role. The film is directed by Sam Hayes, who recently discussed POOLS during a live appearance on CBS Chicago this morning.
