For the first time in more than 1,000 days, parts of the Imperial Beach Shoreline are back open. Two people are recovering from injuries after being attacked by sea lions in the Mission Beach area. A new California law now bans all plastic shopping bags starting in 2026. Here's NBC 7's Marianne Kushi with the top stories of the day.
