Speaking about what it really means to be educated. The importance of Public Funding in communities + how it affects communities that are or not supported. Importance of seeing how the Public Schooling system is working for students. What students have more advantages? What groups of students face more challenges? Normalizing that it is fine to fail or struggle as a first-generation student, as you are setting new standards for yourself + your loved ones. Students of Color are strong as we are the ones setting new standards/new accomplishments for ourselves.
