Update: 2025-09-15
Description
The Green Valley Council is gearing up for a busy season of community forums and programs, and President Debbie Kenyon joined Andy Taylor to share the details. Coming up on October 16th, local expert Ben Tully returns with an important session on invasive plant species and their impact on wildfire safety. Also starting October 2nd, residents can take advantage of monthly mobile health screenings, including blood pressure checks, diabetes testing, and more. October also features the popular end-of-life planning forum with the Pima Council on Aging, giving families the tools they need to prepare for the future.
Looking ahead, “A Morning with Pima County Health” takes place on November 13th, focusing on valley fever, rabies, seasonal flu, and respiratory illnesses. On December 4th, a drainage way maintenance forum will help HOAs and residents understand how to reduce flooding and wildfire risks, and on January 15th, the Pima County Assessor will share information on fraud alerts and relief programs for veterans, widows, and widowers. With so many opportunities to learn and connect, these programs are designed to keep Green Valley residents informed, prepared, and supported.
