Today the story comes from India. 今天的新聞來自印度。



In a busy city in India called Delhi, there is a big, beautiful castle called the Red Fort. One day, near this famous place, there was a sudden loud noise. A car had a big problem and it caught fire. It was a very surprising and scary moment for everyone. But very quickly, brave helpers came to the rescue! Firefighters, police officers, and doctors worked together. They helped the people who were hurt and made sure everyone else was safe. It was a sad day, but it also showed how people can be very kind and helpful to each other.

Our first word is sudden, S-U-D-D-E-N. It means 突然的. A synonym for sudden is 'unexpected', and the opposite is 'expected'. Let's make a sentence: The sudden rain made us run inside. 這場突然的大雨讓我們跑進了室內。

And our last word for today is safe, S-A-F-E. Safe means 安全的. A synonym for safe is 'secure', and the opposite is 'dangerous'. Here's a sentence: It's important to be safe when you cross the street. 過馬路時保持安全是很重要的。
