For generations, these communities have cultivated a deep, place-based understanding of their environments, guided by observation, stewardship, and sustainable practices. Today, their centuries-old wisdom is increasingly being recognized and integrated into modern climate strategies, offering valuable insights into biodiversity conservation, land management, and ecological balance. Far from being passive victims, Indigenous peoples are key partners in shaping more sustainable and effective responses to the global climate crisis.
