Description

The Morning X achieves a broadcasting milestone as the Indigo Girls join the show for the first time. Barnes and Leslie immediately dive into the duo's new documentary, It's Only Life After All. Hear the condition the artists placed on the director before filming the four-year project: the movie "can't be about us", as they wanted to capture the power of their community. Find out which Indigo Girl's father provided the crew with an astronomical 10,000 hours of archival footage from high school for the film. The discussion pivots to their new jukebox musical romance, Glitter and Doom, including their brand new song, "What We Want to Be", and how the film's arrangements made Emily hear her own classic songs in a new way. Finally, the duo gets candid about their process of deciding if a song is worthy of the band or if it's better suited for a "solo album".

This is from the Best of The Morning X vault.
