The topic of this podcast is ‘Innovating your Products’ (bold) Today’s Podcast will discuss why its important to innovate your products in your creative enterprise and how to go about doing so. The discussion includes an overview of what innovation means in a Central Asian context, why its important for entrepreneurs to innovate, and the process of turning an idea into an innovation. We also discuss the role of the business model in evaluating ideas and innovations in your enterprise.
About the speakers
Dr Marta Gasparin is Associate Professor of Innovation and Design Management at the University of Leicester. She explores how design and innovation emerge, how value is created, and the role of the actors (objects, managers, designers) in the various innovation processes, drawing on ideas from science and technology studies. She is also interested in design theory and the epistemological dimension of innovation, in particular in the relation between design and aesthetic.
Aigerim Tarbagatayeva is a business coach in Kazakhstan who helps start ups to think about their businesses and products as they grow the company.
In this podcast series, we discuss business competences that creative enterprises need to develop in order to succeed, such as marketing, innovation, social media use, accounting and finance, pitching for funds, and relationships with supplies and customers. We will also discuss hot topics such as sustainability and slow design.
