While fairytales do often come true, unfortunately for the brown and gold faithful it just wasn’t to be on Preliminary Final Friday night at the MCG.
In front of nearly 100,000 people under lights in our biggest game of the year, there were too few decent contributors as we got out muscled and outshone by a hardened Geelong outfit.
It was a tough watch in the second half - but despite the sub-par showing we were able to unpack the game itself and put some context to the wonderful season that 2025 was.
Join Danny, Darren, Brad and Weiss as they discussed:🗣️ Key talking points:
* The Hawk Walk led by our President - another wonderful display of our proud club culture;
* The first three goals, the opening term, and daring to dream;
* The umpiring;
* Mitch Lewis’ first half;
* Being beaten comprehensively by Geelong’s band of stalwarts;
* Our midfield woes;
* The good - Moore, Ginni, Gunston and Nash;
* The not so good - CJ, Ward, Worpel and many more (particularly in the second half);
* And much much more.
