Description

In this preview from my interview with Michał Drahus, a FUGA Fellow at the Astronomical Observatory of Jagiellonian University in Poland, we discuss how Gennady Borisov discovered interstellar visitor C/2019 Q4 (AKA 2I/Borisov) with a 65 cm telescope he built himself, how Borisov was clever enough to look for comets near the sun where other observatories avoid observing, and how we're going to be learning a lot more about this comet as it gets brighter as it approaches the sun in the coming months.

Tune in next week for the full episode featuring a total of 3 interviews with astronomers who all are studying 2I/Borisov!
