An historical novel which narrates the story of Chola King Raja Raja Chola I, who built the architectural marvel Brihadeeswara temple in Thanjavur. A young warrior, Vallavarayan Vandhiyathevan is the protagonist through whose interactions the other characters are introduced and through whose travelogue the story evolves.
