I had the good fortune to work with James many years ago at NatWest Markets before he went to SocGen and became an investment legend. I have always read his thought-provoking research pieces and admired his willingness to be different. He even claims to have never worn a suit a GMO! But his analysis is always based on deep research so, although some of his thinking is unconventional, it is also both disciplined and rigorous.
