If you have ever created a dating account, you know that most dating sites require a short story/bio to complete your profile. But must the story also be 100% true to be effective? Can lies assist you to attract the right one? Or will it be a big turn-off when the truth is revealed? Is any lie a deal-breaker? Or can a small exaggeration get a pass? What's the fine line between deception and embellishment? A Kaspersky survey of online daters from around the world found that over half of online daters lie. Why are so many people making up stories about themselves? Are dishonest daters, first of all, lying to themselves?
